Woolen textile industry

The woolen textile factory in theSuyunik province of the Republic of Armenia.

Wool production is a vital industry in Armenia, with a long history rooted in the country's sheep farming tradition. The wool industry in Armenia is primarily driven by small-scale farmers, many of whom have a limited number of sheep. ​

The wool produced in Armenia is mainly used for traditional crafts such as carpet weaving and knitting, and also for textiles and clothing. Although the wool industry in Armenia is relatively small compared to other countries, it has a significant economic impact on rural communities and small-scale farmers. Additionally, it helps to preserve traditional methods of production and provides a source of income for local communities.

The woolen textile factory aims to process locally produced wool into wool yarn and then into finished wool products, such as carpets and scarfs, sweaters, gloves. This will support and develop the ancient traditional crafts of Armenia, create new jobs for local residents, and increase the export potential for wool products will help support and develop the ancient traditional crafts of Armenia such as carpet weaving. Carpet weaving has a rich history in Armenia, with traditional patterns and techniques passed down through generations. By reviving this industry and making it more accessible to tourists, it can attract visitors who are interested in learning about and experiencing this unique aspect of Armenian culture

Additionally, by creating new jobs for local residents and providing additional income for sheep farmers, this project can have a positive impact on the local economy and help preserve traditional practices.
